One of the finest Hilton Head Plantation amenities is the Bluff Walk. The Bluff Walk’s primary purpose is to service the revetment that protects the Bluff. It has a secondary use as a recreational leisure path. The Bluff Walk is .9 mile, one-way with deep water views across the Port Royal Sound. The Port Royal Sound system is unique compared to other coastal areas in North America because it is a large embayment dominated by expansive salt marshes and an area with high salinity water. An embayment was created when rising sea levels submerged valleys along the coast. The net result was and is that Port Royal Sound represents a marine habitat that extends inland for nearly 20 miles. Half of Beaufort County is actually under marine waters.

Pine Island connects to the Dolphin Head Recreation area and serves as a mile-long walkable beach for Plantation residents and their guests. Located on Port Royal Sound and Skull Creek, Pine Island also offers great fishing, and is a nesting site for bald eagles. Sunrises or sunsets on the beach are beautiful! Hilton Head Plantation Amenities include the popular Plantation House; which is a Lowcountry-style clubhouse located on the scenic Spring Lake Lagoon. This clubhouse is used for POA activities, club meetings, and can be rented for private use.
Skull Creek Marina has concrete floating docks accommodating vessels up to 200 feet in length. It offers 24-hour privacy and security, competitively priced gasoline and diesel at the fuel dock, and more. Skull Creek Marina is very conveniently located inside Hilton Head Plantation just off the Intracoastal Waterway. It offers deepwater access to Port Royal Sound and nearby Atlantic Ocean.
Seabrook Farms is a community garden with a total of 216 plots at 25' x 25' each. giving Hilton Head Plantation residents to opportunity to grow food, crops, and flowers. There are over 300 members in the Hilton Head Farmers Club. They grow a wide variety of fruits, including eight kinds of citrus, blueberries, figs, apples, peaches, and pecans. They also have bee hives and common plots where they grow onions, potatoes, beans, corn, squash, and flowers strictly for their farmers market.
The Spring Lake Pavilion is a beautiful 6,000 sf two-story building with an extended deck surrounding the second floor and ample seating with a view of Spring Lake. This facility is used for various activities, club meetings, and can be rented out for private use by owners in the community.
In 2016, the Plantation revitalized its primary community pool at the Spring Lake Recreation Area, completing a multimillion-dollar renovation that includes a zero-depth entry, lazy river, splash pad, cabanas, and updated bathhouses. The pool is utilized by residents for open swimming, lap swimming, as well as water aerobics. During the months of April, May, September, and October, the Spring Lake pool is open until dusk. During June, July, and August, the pool is open until 8:00 p.m.
The Spring Lake Tennis facility is available for residents to use on an hourly or membership basis. Courts may be reserved no more than one week in advance. The facility consists of a Pro Shop and 12 Har-Tru courts. Activities included informal tennis mixers, socials, round-robins, clinics, and tennis lessons taught by a Tennis Professional. Whooping Crane Pond Conservancy is a 137-acre wetlands conservancy located within the gates of Hilton Head Plantation; monitored and protected by the Land Trust, Formed as a shallow valley between ancient shoreline dunes, it consists primarily of freshwater black gum (or tupelo) forested swamp and open "savannah" swamp. Surrounding the wetlands is a swamp edge transition zone of thick, head-high bushes that separates the swamp from the pine dominated uplands. This breadth of habitats supports approximately 75 plant species and 100 wildlife species, identified by various interpretive signs throughout the Conservancy.
